This 4 day course is for managers and supervisors in any industry sector and any organisation. It is designed to update managers on the practical actions needed regarding their team's health and safety, and give them the tools to tackle the H&S issues for which they are responsible.
There are eight modules which are covered, including: Introducing Managing Safely, Assessing Risks, Controlling risks, Understanding your responsibilities, Identifying Hazards, Investigating Accidents and Incidents, Measuring Performance, and Protecting our Environment. Additionally, each candidate is required to produce and deliver a project. This is usually completed back at the candidate's workplace, and must be returned for marking within two weeks of the last day of the course. Sometimes this course is run as a 2 + 2 day course, with the project being completed before the candidates return for the second part.
