This course is for people who currently have a valid Health & Safety Executive (HSE) approved First Aid at Work (FAW) certificate which is due to expire soon, or has just expired. Note: the requalification course has to be completed within 28 days of the expiry of the old certificate, or the full course needs to be retaken over 3 days. For those candidates who take the requalification before the old FAW expires, the new certificate will expire 3 years from the date of expiry of the old one. Course content for the requalification is the same as for the full 3 day course, but as candidate knowledge is being refreshed and updated rather than completely new, the HSE allow the course teaching time to be 12 hours rather than 18.
