This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) and as in previous years CQI are using World Quality Day to promote quality in organisations around the world.

Adsyst were approached by Costain, to ask if we would like to submit an entry into their Quality Awards 2019. The theme for this year being root causes of excellence. We agree with Costain, that understanding and sharing the root causes of excellence will help us build better ways of working collaboratively.

Adsyst continually strive for excellent results and we felt we achieved them on a recent project with Costain, we took time to reflect on what happened on this project to show what led to producing our outstanding results, in the hope, going forward we can repeat this more frequently.

After our submission, we were notified in October that Adsyst had been shortlisted under the category Best Improved Quality Performance and we were up against some strong competition. We were one of four companies/ projects that could win this award. Unfortunately, we were pipped to the post, however, received feedback from the Judge, David Taylor, Commercial Director, Costain, which Adsyst can be very proud of.

The feedback from the judges was as follows:

“Excellent succinct submission using the Root Causes of excellence template with detailed analysis and explanation”

“The focus on client need and their delivery to their customers is clear to see. Benefits range across technology, hardware, ergonomics and human factors. Root causes are clearly identified: a focus on quality and outcomes, and collaboration”

Adsyst will continue to strive towards providing our clients with excellent service and look forward to continuing our strong working relationship with Costain and delivering value to our customers.
